
During food inspections carried out in Antalya's Aksu district, about 25 tons of expired chicken meat products were seized.
According to a statement by the Aksu City Government, the city's police teams conducted food inspections at 4 cold storages and 1 workplace in Çamköy District.
During the inspections involving teams of the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, about 25 tons of expired chickens as well as kebabs, livers, gizzards and sausages produced from these chickens, repackaged and ready for sale, were seized.
Aksu Mayor İsa Yıldırım, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they will never allow people to play with the health of the community and that inspections will continue.
Police Chief Kaan Aydın reported that products that threatened public health were destroyed.
