
Demolition work has begun at the cosmetics factory where seven people were burned to death in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli.
A fire broke out at around 09:00 on November 8 at a cosmetics factory on Mimar Sinan Street, Mimar Sinan District of Dilovası.
Şengül Yılmaz (55), Tuğba Taşdemir (18), Nisa Taşdemir (17), Cansu Esatoğlu (16), Esma Dikan (65), Hanım Gülek (65) and Tuncay Yıldız (48).
SECURITY MEASURES IN THE AREA
After 12 days of completing the inspection of the burned factory, Dilovası Municipality teams began demolition work on the building.
Excavators on the upper floors of the factory move debris and debris to the ground floor. The excavator on the ground floor loads the dug hole onto a truck. Meanwhile, crews are watering to prevent dust. Police have taken security measures with barriers and dividers around the factory.
PRELIMINARY REPORT HAS BEEN MADE
In the preliminary report prepared on the cause of the fire within the scope of the investigation carried out in connection with the incident; It is known that the explosion and fire occurred due to electrostatic discharge or ignition due to electrical contact during the transfer of alcohol to the boiler during the production process, at the enterprise that produced perfume by mixing ethyl alcohol and essence.
7 PERSON CONTACT KIT
After the incident, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced that Kocaeli Provincial Director of the Institute of Social Security (SGK), Deputy Provincial Director of SGK Kocaeli, Director of Social Security Center Gebze, Director of Kocaeli Labor and Employment Organization, Director of İŞKUR Service Center Dilovası, Director of İŞKUR CİMER Branch and one employee were suspended.
DEPUTY MAYOR AND 4 POLICE OFFICERS SUSPENDED
Deputy Mayor Necati Temiz, Police Chief Nizamettin Balcı and police officers Cengiz Taşdemir, Ömer Kocabay and Tekin İlaslan were also suspended by Dilovası Municipality.
7 PEOPLE ARRESTED, 4 RELEASED BY JUDICIAL CONTROL
Among the 11 suspects detained under the investigation, company officials Kurtuluş Oransal, İsmail Oransal, Altay Ali Oransal, Aleyna Oransal and Gökberk Güngör were arrested for “targeted murder”, and Ali Osman Akat and Onay Yürüklü were arrested for “supporting criminals”. Suspects GB, HE, Ö.A. and GD was released on condition of judicial control.
