Photos of Infantry Special Corporal Birhan Er and İlker Aykut, who were martyred in the airstrike in Idlib, Syria in 2020, were hung along the road from the entrance to Kırkkepenekli District, along with the Turkish flag.
The words “We have a disease named after our homeland. May God not cure us. Thank you homeland” under the photo of Birhan Er at the village gate caused emotional moments.
The people of the village remembered the two martyrs with prayers. After Mawlid, refreshments were served to the people and the martyrs' families received their condolences.
