Kürşat Öyke, 23 years old, living in the Nizip district of Gaziantep, went to a beauty center to remove hair on his arms and legs.
However, the young man was said to have suffered burns to most of his body after the third training session.
Öyke said, “Nothing happened in the first two sessions. I became like this in the third session.” He explained that he felt a lot of burning during the plucking process, but the staff continued the process by saying “nothing will happen, it will all pass.”
“THEY TRIED THE NEW EQUIPMENT THEY BROUGHT” Stating that he came to the center on the advice of his friend Mehmet Hanifi Tiryaki, Öyke expressed his experience by saying: “I came because it was a company company, I couldn't go out in public for a week because of the pain, people looked at me like a psychopath.” Tiryaki said that he witnessed his friend's condition after the incident and said, “They put him down in front of the air conditioner, applied gel and said he was leaving. They even tried a new device that they brought to Kürşat.” Öyke, who returned to the village after losing his hair, had blisters on his hands and feet. The young man who was treated for many weeks filed a complaint against the cosmetic center with the reason: “No one takes the case seriously. I am fighting for my rights, I was burned so others should not be burned.” Following the incident, it is learned that the Nizip District Health Directorate has opened an investigation into the beauty center in question.
