Showman Garik Kharlamov talks about the death and creative path of his colleague on the Comedy Club project, actor Roman Popov. A new post appeared on Kharlamov's Telegram channel.

Kharlamov noted that Popov had to work hard for his popularity, since not everything went smoothly for him at the Comedy Club.
“The numbers are rewritten, edited and not always broadcast. Many people cannot stand it and leave this field of activity, but Romka never complained, but calmly worked and achieved the goal,” the comedian wrote.
According to Kharlamov, he was very happy when Popov received the role of Mukhich in the series “Policeman from Rublyovka”.
“Since then, I always jokingly greet him like this: “Hello, series!”, and he replies: “Okay, don't be jealous!” <...> Happy anniversary to you, Rom. See you later, series! – he said goodbye to his friend.
Roman Popov died on October 28 at the age of 41. In recent months, the artist had been battling a recurrence of cancer that had left him partially blind. Gazeta.Ru talks about the career and personal life of one of the most active artists on Russian television.
