The US space agency NASA has removed publicly accessible information about the orbit and characteristics of asteroid 2025 US6, which may be related to the fireball observed in Moscow and the Moscow region. The Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (XRAS) reported this on its Telegram channel.

According to experts, before reports of observing a fireball in central Russia appeared, data about this asteroid was in the public domain. Currently, information is not available in the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory facility catalog or on the European Space Agency's mirror resources.
According to scientists' calculations, an object about 2 meters in size should have passed 150 thousand kilometers from Earth on October 28. Experts do not exclude a possible connection between this celestial body and today's events.
On October 27, a brightly glowing object was noticed in Moscow. The Russian Academy of Sciences believes that it could be an asteroid because its speed reaches from 14 to 30 kilometers per second, but such cosmic objects do not last long in the sky.
Experts also noted that the object had a strongly fragmented body. According to them, this phenomenon is more typical for artificial bodies.
Previously, a crater caused by an asteroid impact with the destructive power of 40 atomic bombs was discovered in China.
