Customs Enforcement teams and Spanish police organized a joint drug operation. During the operation, 1.7 tons of fossilized cocaine were seized in a container that departed from South America and stopped at Ambarlı Port.
Customs Enforcement units monitored a container carrying fossil flour sent from South America to Spain and arrived at Istanbul Ambarlı Port during transit as a risky move. COCAINE FOLDED IN POWDER During port controls, cocaine drugs were found laced with 1.7 tons of fossil flour and the Büyükçekmece Chief Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the incident. Within the scope of the investigation, a decision was made to carry out controlled deliveries in order to expose all perpetrators of the drug smuggling conspiracy.
RED CRIME FOR STOP An operation was carried out in Madrid by the Spanish National Police against the container, whose movements in Spain were also monitored. During the operation with the participation of the Customs Control force, 3 members of an organized crime group who came to receive drugs were caught red-handed. Units of the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement continue the fight against drug smuggling, which threatens public health and public order both in Türkiye and internationally.
