Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bursa Prosecutor on the crimes of “establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime and being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime”, “bribery” and “laundering criminal property”, an operation was carried out yesterday in 3 provinces concentrated in Bursa against 23 suspects by the Provincial Police Department. Teams of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate (KOM). In the simultaneous operation, 21 people, including former Mayor Nilüfer Turgay Erdem and his wife Zeynep Terzioğlu Erdem, were detained. It is known that 2 people are abroad, 24 residences, 8 company addresses and 12 vehicles of the suspects were searched. HE WAS EXAMINED AT BURSA CITY HOSPITAL While the proceedings of the suspects at the KOM Branch Directorate are continuing, it is learned that the detained former mayor of Turgay Erdem was taken to the hospital as he said he was sick last night. No health problems were detected for Erdem, who was taken to Bursa City Hospital at around 9 p.m. and completed all tests. Erdem, who was discharged from the hospital at midnight, and other suspects are being processed at the police station.
