National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş went on a political party tour after completing the terrorism-free Türkiye report. Kurtulmuş's first stop is MHP.
The National Committee for Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy, established with the goal of a Türkiye free of terrorism, has issued an important report containing recommendations after seven months of work.
National Assembly Chairman Kurtulmuş is visiting political parties to discuss new legal regulations. It is expected that legal steps taken within the scope of the non-terrorist Türkiye process will be discussed during the visit.
FIRST TIME AT MHP
Kurtulmuş paid his first visit to MHP President Devlet Bahçeli. The meeting between the two lasted 28 minutes.
“COUNCIL HAS FULFILLED ITS RESPONSIBILITIES”
After the meeting, the duo appeared in front of the camera. Kurtulmuş began his speech by thanking Bahçeli and said, “We visited Mr. Devlet Bahçeli to thank him for his support and leadership. It was a historic turning point for Türkiye. “The work is not finished but the National Assembly has fulfilled its responsibility,” he said.
Stating that the report is not the opinion of any political party, the National Assembly Chairman continued to speak as follows:
“The published text is not the opinion of any political party. It was accepted with a vote of 47 out of 50 deputies. We need to continue our work so that Türkiye sends this issue to the dusty shelf of history. We hope that the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament will do its part and that the General Assembly will prepare laws and finalize them in a short time.”
NEXT MEETING WITH CHP
Kurtulmuş will meet with CHP at 3:30 p.m., then with DEM Party and tomorrow with Yeni Yol Group and AK Party.
