The road opening work of special provincial government teams continued non-stop on Derecik-Ilıca-Ağıllı group village road, which was closed due to heavy snowfall and blizzard in Muş.
The special management teams of Muş Province continued their work to ensure traffic on alternative village roads that were closed after heavy snowfall and storms during the winter. Teams are especially hard at work on the Derecik-Ilıca-Ağıllı group village road at an altitude of 2,500 meters, carrying out road clearing work in areas where snow depths reach up to 5 to 6 meters.
THERE ARE GREAT RISKS
Working meticulously despite the risk of avalanches, crews were only able to open a 100m stretch of road for transport for four hours at some points.
Speaking to journalists, Şeyhmus Yentür, Secretary General of the Special Provincial Administration, stated that his teams cleared about 45 thousand kilometers of road network throughout Muş from snow during the winter. Despite the difficult weather conditions, work will continue until the village roads are completely opened to traffic, said Yentür, “We are constantly on the scene to ensure traffic and travel safety for our people with 100 employees and 68 working machines. With this opening of traffic roads, there will be no place in the province that will be inaccessible.”
