The American corporation Google will phase out the ChromeOS operating system by 2034. The Verge writes about this based on court documents published as part of antitrust proceedings against Google.

The company cannot stop supporting ChromeOS sooner because different jurisdictions have different regulations regarding device support periods.
ChromeOS will be replaced by the aluminum operating system. Google will release a new Android desktop experience for trusted commercial testers in 2026. The full release of Aluminum OS is expected no earlier than 2028.
It was previously reported that Google and Apple were testing a common system for transferring data between Android and iPhone.
