PGYTech has introduced the modular RetroVa Classic Imaging Kit with external telephoto lens for Apple smartphones. The device is positioned as a solution that brings the iPhone's capabilities closer to a full-fledged camera. The project was launched on the Kickstarter platform and has significantly exceeded its stated funding goal.

The main component of this set is a teleconverter with 2.35x optical zoom. Combined with the camera's optical zoom feature on modern iPhone models, it allows you to achieve equivalent focal lengths of up to 282mm, and presets of up to 960mm are available through the exclusive app.
The kit includes a grip with a physical shutter button, a zoom control wheel, an additional button, a tripod mount, and a microSD card slot for recording video directly to a memory card. The lens requires the PGYTech app, which has manual settings, filters, and the ability to add a custom watermark.
The price of the complete set with lens, case and accessories is 184 USD, the version without external lens costs 72 USD.
At the time the news was announced, the campaign had raised over $50k with a goal of $10k, with only about a month left to complete.
