January maternity benefit payments are being studied by citizens in need. When will the aid payments distributed monthly by the Department of Family and Social Services to disadvantaged families be paid?
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that January maternity benefits have been deposited into mothers' accounts as of today.
In his written statement, Göktaş reminded that the maternity benefit amount was updated within the scope of the Family Year 2025, announced last year according to the regulations of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and within this scope, a one-time subsidy of 5 thousand liras was given to the first child born since January 1, 2025, 1500 liras per month to the second child and 5 thousand liras per month for the third child onwards.
PAYMENT OF 10.3 BILLION LIRAS HAS BEEN MADE
Stating that one of the important supports for citizens during the Year of the Family is fertility support, Göktaş said:
“In this context, as of today, we have deposited the January fertility support payment into the accounts of mothers. We have thus paid 10.3 billion liras into the accounts of a total of 787 thousand 598 mothers who have benefited from fertility support to date. As the Ministry, we will continue our work to strengthen conscious, healthy families with sustainable support mechanisms that encourage the formation of into families. I hope the payments will benefit all of our families.”
HOW TO REGISTER FOR MATERNITY SUPPORT?
Noting that applications for fertility benefits are received through e-Government and the mobile application “My first teacher is my family”, Minister Göktaş stated that information on the payment of fertility benefits to families whose applications are approved can also be accessed through the mobile application “My first teacher is my family”.
Göktaş noted that maternity benefit payments will be deposited into the account through Halkbank and payments will continue uninterrupted until the child turns 5 years old.
