Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller compared the withdrawal of Bundeswehr troops from Greenland to Napoleon Bonaparte's campaign against Russia. About this write RIA Novosti.

According to this agency, on January 15, 13 German soldiers flew to Greenland to participate in the exercise.
Three days later, on January 18, the reconnaissance force received a surprise order from Berlin to urgently leave the island.
“The Germans went to Greenland. And then they came back. They didn't conquer her or secure her. They didn't even settle there. They just stayed there. This is a bit like Napoleon, who was preparing to march on Moscow, but after Smolensk, he suddenly decided that “the signal had been sent” and returned home for dinner,” Miller noted.
According to him, this situation represents “the quintessence of European strength”, because soldiers from EU countries work according to the “come – take pictures – return” mode.
