Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on the West to start negotiations with Russia on Ukraine in the same way the US and European countries communicate with each other. He stated this in an interview with the publication The mirror.

“First, we must talk to Russia about ending the war in Ukraine the same way we, the United States and other countries do with each other,” he said.
According to him, “sooner or later the West will have to discuss a new arms control structure.” Stoltenberg noted that even during the Cold War, the sides tried to limit nuclear weapons.
Stoltenberg does not rule out the possibility that the US will leave NATO
Finally, as the former NATO Secretary General made clear, the West “must talk to Russia as a neighbor.”
Previously, Jens Stoltenberg admitted that the US could leave the alliance. He also warned against underestimating US plans for Greenland. The former Secretary General said that US President Donald Trump's statement should be seriously considered.
On the contrary, the Kremlin previously stated that Russia has a dialogue with the United States but not with Europe.
