Another 10 articles of the bill stipulating heavy fines for drivers who follow another vehicle for the purpose of attacking or get out of the vehicle for this purpose were passed at the National Assembly.
Legislative proposals to increase traffic fines continue to be introduced at the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament (TBMM).
According to Article 10 of the Bill amending the Road Traffic Law passed at the National Assembly, the transportation of goods with special weights and sizes will be required to be permitted by the General Department of Highways.
NEW PENALTY FOR DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE
According to the article, those who drive a motor vehicle without a driver's license will be fined 40 thousand liras, and those who drive even with a temporary or precautionary license will be fined 200 thousand liras.
An administrative fine of 200 thousand liras will be imposed on motor vehicle drivers even though their driving licenses have been revoked. In addition, the driver who allows driving a motor vehicle will be subject to an administrative fine of 40 thousand liras based on the registration number plate.
WEDDING CAR
Those who divert traffic, those who drive vehicles going in the opposite direction on highways or divided highways, those who stop vehicles to obstruct the flow of traffic with arbitrary actions that make it difficult for other vehicles to move or endanger the passage of other vehicles when driving in groups or individually will be subject to an administrative fine of 90 thousand liras per person. In addition, these drivers' driving licenses will be revoked for 60 days and vehicles will be banned from circulation for 30 days.
An administrative fine of 180 thousand liras will be imposed on drivers who try to follow another vehicle for the purpose of attacking in traffic or get out of the vehicle for this purpose, their driver's license will be revoked for 60 days and these vehicles may be banned from traffic for 30 days.
PEOPLE WHO WILL PASS PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTS
Drivers whose driving licenses are revoked for driving in the wrong direction or stubbornly following other vehicles in traffic with the intention of attacking or getting out of the car with the intention of attacking will have their driver's licenses re-issued after a psychological assessment.
Penalties for drivers who violate red lights will gradually increase if they repeat the offense. Drivers who violate red lights will be fined 10 thousand lira for the second violation within 1 year from the date of the last violation, 15 thousand lira for the third violation, 20 thousand lira for the fourth violation, 30 thousand lira for the fifth violation and 80 thousand lira for the sixth violation.
FINE OF 200 THOUSAND LIRA FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE STOP WARNING
Those who flee and do not obey the “stop” warning despite police warnings and signs will be fined 200 thousand liras, have their driving licenses revoked for 60 days, and their vehicles will be banned from circulation for 60 days.
The driving license of the driver who causes a traffic accident by running a red light will be revoked for a period of 60 days. The driver's licenses of those found to have violated red signs 3 times within one year from the date of the last violation will be revoked for 30 days, the driver's licenses of those found to have violated the red sign 4 times will be revoked for 60 days, and the driver's licenses of those found to have violated 5 times will be revoked for 90 days.
Driver's licenses of those found to have violated the red light law 6 times will be revoked.
